    @javier
    From the site (were you get by clicking on HD) “All types of equipment was used on those two days including, Canon 5D Mk2’s, 1Ds Mk3’s, Canon TS-E 24, TS-E 45mm tilt shift lenses, Canon 24mm, 50mm, 85mm, 300mm, 400mm etc.etc.”

    Hope it helps.

    Nicely put together, stunning location and hauntingly beautiful music but in my view there is too much reliance put on super-shallow depth of field. Very effective as a film maker’s tool but it can be overdone.

    the “too much reliance on shallow depth of field” comment was way off base. what you are probably referring to are the “lensbaby” shots which utilize “selective” focusing (not shallow depth of field), much like the more precise use of “swings and tilts.” the shallow depth of field is what keeps all of this well shot footage from looking like it was shot by a wedding videographer or commercial video guy. this guy’s (michael fletcher) stuff is nice. i really was stunned by his stunning south australia piece which is also posted on this site.

    I personally like the dof in this video. It’s not something you see very much in motion capture. great vid.
