Synopsis: The artisic side of street skating seduced me so I decided to make a video that shows how a basic street session goes. This was shot in Paris on the 19th of july 2009
Production equipment used: The entire video was shot with a canon 5D MKII with dolly and profoto tripod, lenses: 50mm 1.4 and 70-200mm 2.8 is L apart from the slow motion shots that were shot with another canon video camera
Editing software: Premiere, Photoshop, Twixtor
Editing hardware: PC quadro FX570 Nvidia
Editing workflow: HDV mp2, 1920×1080
Favorite shot or clip in this film: My favorite shot in this film was the last action shot underneath the subway following the skater on 180º (01′14″) where you can actually see the cars and the buildings properly while he is performing (a combination of urban life and urban sport)
Tip for 5d MkII filmmakers: If I could give a tip to 5D MkII film makers I’d say that the whole point of shooting with a 5DMkII is to use the depth of field but this also means that you have got to be careful not to be accidentally out of focus when opening the aperture to the max. Review each shots you take before validation
